Functional Trainers

Functional Trainers are an extremely versatile piece of exercise equipment. Functional Trainers allow you to work the most muscle groups in the widest variety of ways and they are safe for all age groups capable of resistance training. A Functional Trainer is a piece of equipment that incorporates multiple cables (usually 2) and attachments so you can perform any directional movements such as pulls, flys, curls, and everything in between.

Functional Trainers make it easier on the gym-goer as these machines do not require a spotter when performing heavy lifts. They also allow for the user to work with a great range of motion, giving more versatility to their workout. These cable machines allow you to use every different muscle as you can easily switch up the plane of movement.

When using a Functional Trainer you have a variety of options to meet all of your training needs. Functional Trainers are a great option for your gym as they encourage you to not just stick to one repetitive motion but to engage different parts of the body with a full range of motion for training exercises that will enhance your well-being.

Smith Machines

The Smith Machine features a barbell on vertical fixed rails, with lock-out points up and down the rack. Smith Machines eliminate the need for a spotter as the notches in the rails provide the weight lifter with more independence. Smith Machines are mainly used for doing squats and presses.

Behind each vertical post is a collection of slots where the barbell can be hooked. While the Smith Machine eliminates the need for a spotter, the movement that it uses to do so is less natural than lifting with a squat rack or power rack.

The Smith Machine is a great tool to prevent injuries and is much safer to do when training by yourself. The Smith Machine allows you to perform a whole range of exercises, including barbell strength training that can help you improve your functional fitness and build your muscle.

Smith Machines are much easier and convenient to use than a barbell on a power rack or squat rack. They are used for a wide array of exercises, and can be used to work every major muscle group. Smith Machines promote good posture and are suited for both beginners and experienced users.

Squat Racks and Power Racks

Squat Racks and Power Racks are a helpful workout station for barbell exercises. A rack is designed to support weight when doing squat variations. Two adjustable metal posts comprise the squat stand or rack, which support the barbell.

Power Racks, also referred to as power cages, have four feet connected by four metal bars overhead. Power Racks have three stabilizing legs and two safety bars in the event that you drop the bar. These safety bars protect you from being crushed by the weight of the bar were you to drop it.

Power Racks allow you to lift heavier. They are made of thick steel and can last an extremely long time. While they are an investment upfront, Power Racks are worth investing in for your home or commercial gym because they offer a multitude of exercise options. With a Power Rack alone you can do a full-body workout with weights. You may use Power Racks for bench pressing, squats, pull-ups, and a whole host of other exercises so they are truly multipurpose.

The Squat Rack consists of two steel stands with one or more pins which can be attached to one another or completely separate. It is used to rack and un-rack your barbell when performing exercises like bench presses or squats. Squat Racks are not as sturdy as the power rack. They do not have as much flexibility with workout options as Power Racks, but are effective options for many of the same movements. Squat Racks are similar to Power Racks, but smaller and less sturdy. Squat Racks are a cheaper option and they are easier to use in a smaller space. They are also easier to move around.

Power Racks allow you to lift heavier and can also be used for pull-ups and chin-ups. Power Racks are made of thick steel and last a very long time.

10 Reasons To Shop For Used Gym Equipment Packages

  1. Cost savings: Buying used commercial gym equipment can save you a significant amount of money compared to buying new. You can often find good quality used equipment for a fraction of the cost of new, which can be especially helpful when starting a new gym on a budget.

  2. Depreciation: New gym equipment tends to depreciate quickly, which means that its value decreases over time. Buying used equipment allows you to avoid this depreciation, as the equipment has already gone through its initial period of rapid value loss.

  3. Availability: Used commercial gym equipment is often more readily available than new equipment, as it is not subject to the same production and delivery timelines. This can be especially helpful if you are looking to open your gym quickly and need to get your hands on equipment as soon as possible.

  4. Quality: While it may be tempting to assume that new equipment is automatically better quality than used equipment, this is not always the case. Many gym owners take excellent care of their equipment and keep it in good condition, so you can often find used equipment that is just as good as new.

  5. Variety: When you buy used equipment, you have a wider range of options to choose from. This can be especially helpful if you are looking for a specific piece of equipment or if you want to mix and match different brands and styles to create a unique gym atmosphere.

  6. Customization: Buying used equipment can also allow you to customize your gym to better meet the needs and preferences of your clients. You can choose specific pieces of equipment that fit your desired theme or target market, rather than being limited to what is currently being produced by manufacturers.

  7. Environmental benefits: Buying used gym equipment can also have a positive impact on the environment. Manufacturing new equipment requires the use of resources and energy, and the production process can result in pollution and waste. By opting for used equipment, you can help reduce the demand for new production and minimize the environmental impact of your gym.

  8. Community impact: Buying used gym equipment can also have a positive impact on your local community. By supporting local businesses that sell used equipment, you can help stimulate the local economy and contribute to the vibrancy of your community.

  9. Expertise: Many businesses that sell used gym equipment have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field. They can often provide valuable insights and recommendations on which pieces of equipment are best suited for your gym, as well as help you with maintenance and repair needs.

  10. Personalization: Buying used gym equipment can also allow you to personalize your gym and make it feel more like your own. You can choose pieces that have a special meaning to you or that reflect your personal style, which can help create a welcoming and unique atmosphere for your clients.
